La correcta disposición del ACU es responsabilidad de quien lo genera. Las distintas regulaciones vigentes imponen procedimientos y normativas a cumplir por los generadores de Aceite de Cocina Usado, según los decretos 1594 de 1984 y el 3075 de 1997 al igual que la resolución 2154 de 2012, además, el Código Penal establece penas de hasta doce años, multas de hasta 1.000 salarios mínimos y cierre del establecimiento a quienes comercialicen, suministren o distribuyan sustancias alimenticias caducadas, deterioradas o incumpliendo las exigencias técnicas.
La normativa marca que el aceite vegetal usado es un residuo. Todos y cada uno de nosotros somos socialmente responsables de los residuos que generamos, y tenemos una obligación «ecológica» para disfrutar del derecho a un medio ambiente saludable. Hay que garantizar que los residuos no van a contaminar las aguas ni otros ecosistemas. En definitiva, nosotros formamos parte de la naturaleza.
El aceite que recuperamos se utiliza exclusivamente en la fabricación de biodiesel, La labor de Reciclemos+ tiene una importante dimensión social: cerramos el ciclo de vida del aceite vegetal usado aprovechando al máximo este recurso natural a la vez que fomentamos la utilización de energías renovables.
LA BIOENERGÍA
La Bioenergía es muy efectiva a la hora de reemplazar a los combustibles fósiles sin utilizar cultivos alimenticios a la vez que ayuda a combatir el calentamiento global al presentar una elevada capacidad de reducción de emisiones de efecto invernadero y de ahorro energético.
Actualmente se encuentra terminantemente prohibido por el “Reglamento Europeo 1774/2002″, por el que se establecen las normas sanitarias aplicables a los subproductos animales no destinados a consumo, utilizar los aceites vegetales usados en la alimentación de animales destinados al consumo humano.
¿QUÉ ES BIODIÉSEL?
Se define como ester metílico de ácidos grasos producido a partir de un aceite vegetal o grasa animal, de calidad similar al gasóleo, para su uso como biocarburante. Es un biocombustible renovable y limpio que contribuye a la conservación del medioambiente y se enmarca dentro de la clasificación conocida como “Biocombustibles de Segunda Generación”.
Biocombustibles de segunda generación Son aquellos biocombustibles que:
- Utilizan materias primas no convencionales (oleaginosas no comestibles)
- Se obtienen a partir de procesos complejos.
- Presentan una elevada capacidad de reducción de emisiones de efecto invernadero y de ahorro energético.
Como producto final, el biodiésel es un carburante ecológico que:
- Se produce a través de materias primas renovables.
- Es fácilmente biodegradable.
- Mejora la combustión reduciendo las emisiones de hollín.
- En su ciclo completo, durante la combustión, reduce la emisión de gases de efecto invernadero hasta un 85%.
- No contiene prácticamente azufre.
- No contiene benceno ni otras sustancias aromáticas cancerígenas.
- No es una mercancía peligrosa.
- Ayuda a la forestación de la tierra.
- Ayuda al desarrollo de zonas desfavorecidas.
COMO REALIZAR EL RECICLAJE DEL ACU?
El proceso de reciclado de ACU es clave para reducir el impacto medioambiental de este residuo.
- Una vez el aceite de cocina haya cumplido su ciclo de fritura y este frío.
- Usted puede recolectarlo en un recipiente plástico limpio con tapa.
- Comunicarse con las líneas habilitadas para programar la recolección.
- Se realiza la recogida por parte de RECICLEMOS MÁS dejando siempre como constancia el certificado de recolección.
Todo el aceite recogido por RECICLEMOS MÁS es destinado a la planta de reciclaje en la ciudad de Bogotá COINDAGRO (Únicos Exportadores de AVU en Colombia, con destino a la fabricación de biocombustibles), donde primeramente es descargado, alistado, filtrado y bombeado a un tanque de homogeneización del producto, el cual está completamente automatizado, se observan parámetros tales como cantidad de agua libre y acidez que posee el aceite, se realiza el transporte de Bogotá a Cartagena en camiones cisterna, se realiza almacenamiento en Cartagena/Oiltanking, luego se realiza el transporte marítimo a las plantas de biodiesel en Green Fuel, Extremadura (España) para el proceso de conversión a biodiesel.
En nuestro país si cada 5 habitantes se recolectara ½ litro de ACU mensual, se lograría la recuperación de 4.000.000 de litros mensuales de ACU, evitando la potencial contaminación de 4 millones de toneladas de agua limpia.
